Who we are

What this website collects

If you send us a message

The contact form asks for your name, email address, and your message, and optionally your company and phone number. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the enquiry. That is the only thing we do with it.

Server logs

Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request information — IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent — for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.

Anti-spam checks

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile processes limited technical information about your browser and connection to make that decision. It is used only to protect the form and, unlike a conventional CAPTCHA, is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

What this website does not do

• No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics or any equivalent.
• No advertising or tracking pixels. None, from anyone.
• No tracking cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own, which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
• No third-party fonts. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so no font provider sees your IP address.
• We never sell your personal information. We have not and we will not.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers, each for one job:

• Cloudflare — hosting, security and the anti-spam check described above.
• Resend — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox as email.
• Microsoft — our email is hosted on Microsoft 365.
• Stripe — processes card and bank payments for clients. Payment details go directly to Stripe; see our payment terms.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Beyond that, we do not share your information with anyone.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are kept for up to two years, so we have context if you come back. Records relating to clients and invoices are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records, currently seven years. Server logs are kept for a short period as set by our host.

Client data we handle during an engagement

Delivering IT, security and AI work sometimes means we can see systems and data belonging to our clients and their customers. In that context we act on the client's instructions, not our own. We access only what the work requires, we do not use it for any other purpose, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models. This is covered by our terms of service and by the engagement documents we sign with each client.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@shifttechny.com and we will respond within one business day. We do not charge for this.

If you are a New York resident, the New York SHIELD Act requires us to protect your private information with reasonable safeguards, which we do. Residents of states with broader privacy laws, and of the UK and EU, have additional rights over access, correction, deletion and portability — ask us and we will honour them regardless of where you live.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to our email and business systems is protected by multi-factor authentication. We hold no card numbers at any point — those go directly to Stripe.

Children

This is a business-to-business service. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant and affects existing clients, we tell them directly rather than relying on you to check.
